"I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times." - Bruce Lee
As an artist, I often get asked how I found my voice or style. Without a doubt, it’s the hardest thing to do as an artist because the path is nebulous and different for everyone. It’s akin to following breadcrumbs through a forest in the middle of the night, hoping they will lead you home.
The only advice I can give is to get VERY good at finding those breadcrumbs and to go toward them boldly and without fear.
Trading is similar. On an episode of the Penny Lane Podcast, a guest asked me about how I trade. That question used to intimidate the heck out of me. I’d hem and haw, giving some dumb answer that was essentially repeating what I’d heard someone else say. But on this particular night, I was feeling pretty confident and started talking about how I liked to exploit market inefficiencies between AAPL 0.00%↑ , NVDA 0.00%↑ and QQQ 0.00%↑ . It was the first time I’d ever said it on air, and it was amazing to watch the other, much more experienced trader, wrap his head around this idea. It was such an exciting moment because it was my truth. It was a breadcrumb I’d discovered all on my own, and I just practiced it to death.
I deeply miss those one-on-one chats with other traders because they made me feel less isolated. Trading can be the loneliest thing in the world if you block out all the noise and focus 100% on the market… and those conversations acted as reassurance that I wasn’t going crazy inside my own head.
These days, I trade by scalping options on trend days. I have a set target and a set risk, and I can be in and out within a matter of minutes. I’ve narrowed my focus down to just a rifle approach to this one strategy, and I’m gaining a lot of consistency.
So on I go, on my own path, searching for the next breadcrumb, hoping that by practicing this one “kick” thousands and thousands of times, it becomes a knockout.

P.S. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you taking a minute out of your day to read this. Thank you.
